The Stimmung

The Stimmung is structured around six voices performing the six healing sounds of the Qigong practice Liu Zi Jue. The vocal composition is interwoven with a visual sequence in six parts, each associated with a specific sound, colour, and internal organ.
Approaching the inhuman – the genocide in Gaza – through body, breath, and presence, the work invites reflection on a reality that the rational struggles to encompass. The title refers to the philosophical concept Stimmung: an attunement prior to language. It describes the atmosphere between people, places, and events – the shared emotional space we move within.
